Project Title:  Enhancing the capacity of landowners to participate in and contribute to the Wildlife Policy development and implementation in Kenya

Program Description:  KWWG is a coalition of over 15 registered regional wildlife fora spread in wildlife-rich regions across the country. KWWG facilitates active involvement and participation of land owners and local communities in the policy and legislation formulation process on wildlife. KWWG is implementing a fact-based campaign among stakeholders from the grassroots to national level on the draft wildlife policy and legislation; lobbying parliamentarians and policy makers to ensure sound and timely Legislation of the Revised Wildlife Policy and bill by November 2007; involving the media to sustain a healthy wildlife policy review debate in both electronic and print media.
