COALITION FOR ACCOUNTABLE POLITICAL FINANCING (CAPF)

Project Title:  Clean political Financing for better Governance
Grant Type: Small DG | Grant Period: 6 Months

Project Description: CAPF is a coalition of governance focused civil society organizations in Kenya intent on coalescing their expertise, experiences and programmatic resources towards the improvement of the regulation, management and culture of political party financing in the country. Its purpose is to promote dialogue and build support for political party finance reforms among political parties, civil society organizations and the general public through research, advocacy, civic education and partnership building. CAPF support will promote stable, vibrant and accountable political parties in Kenya through advocacy activities for the adoption of a comprehensive Political Parties Bill and to establish a framework for monitoring political party spending, beginning with the 2007 general elections.
